Dragon Quest VIII[]
Making its debut, it is learned by Yangus once he gains 19 points in his club skill tree, and can potentially stop an enemy for 1 turn. Morrie can learn this skill when he has invested 20 skill points into his club skill tree in the 3DS remake. It costs 2 MP to use.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Acting the same as in VIII, it is learned with 3 skill points invested into the Hammer skill tree. It costs 2 MP to use once again, and is also used by Brownies and Gadrongo in battle.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]
Appearing as a special move from Battle Road II onwards, it is activated through Pressure Pointer of the Poison needle and/or Death Strike of the Assassin's dagger, with any skill or spell of monsters like Goodybag and Imp, damaging an opponent while potentially paralyzing said opponent.
