Imp is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.

Characteristics[]

Imp is a small demon. Most times, it is portrayed with a pitchfork (rather, a comically oversized dinner fork) and it sticks out its tongue at the enemies. It knows very powerful and destructive spells, but doesn’t have the appropriate MP to do so making it an incompetent demon. But it does know certain breath attacks as a backup strategy to overpower its enemies.

Strategy[]

Imps have a very dangerous ability to exhale a cold breath which can deal ~17 damage to each party member. When in groups, they have the potential to wipe out a whole team. Luckily, they do have the tendency to attempt to use extremely powerful spells such as Thwack, Kaboom and Kamikazee, however due to a lack of MP, they simply fall over to their side and waste their turn.

Tips to Combat:

- Fixate on one at a time to reduce the amount of cold breaths they do to the party.

- If you do NOT have the initiative on any party members, prepare a heal to neutralize any cold breaths.

- Treat with High Priority.
