Introduction[]

The Isle of Awakening is the first island that the player comes across in their journey. The Isle is home to the Hairy Hermit and the new home of Lulu, Malroth, and the Builder.

The Isle consists of 3 barren areas. The Green Gardens, the Scarlet Sands, and The Cerulean Steppe, with a mountain-top ancient temple right in the middle of isle. As the story progresses the Builder builds up these three quadrants and turns them into bustling cities.

Trivia[]

  • There is a massive cathedral built out of the "citadel" blocksets underneath the mountaintop temple, accessible only through a single underwater entrance on the western side of the mountain.
    • To access the cathedral, teleport to "The mountaintop" from the map, walk to the edge of the mountain and glide west until over the water and drop. The entrance will be quickly visible once under the surface of the water, ever so slightly to the south edge of the western cliff shore. Although you can go there at any point, you will need to enter the postgame to break the 3x3 Cell Wall tiles blocking the entrance. There is also a smaller hidden room behind the large Citadel Cross Carving at the far end of the large chamber at the top of the two sets of stairs. The demo has no protections over these blocks and does not restrict you from accessing it immediately.
    • In the postgame portion of the game, one of Hellen's interactions with the Builder contains her theory on what she presumes the temple was used Ofor. According to her, the temple was likely used to house Malroth after he was slain by the Scions of Erdrick and may be where his humanoid appearance took form and originated from before being met on the isle's southern beach by the Builder. Sister Esther also hints at the temple's presence in an interaction with the Builder, mentioning an ominous aura emanating from the center of the isle.
  • Throughout the isle, 2 makeshift camps and 1 dilapidated house can be found in different areas, with the house containing a part of a memoir that can be read. These areas are hinted at as being areas where the legendary builder that arrived long before the Builder once lived.
    • The dilapidated home can be found in an open area to the south of the Green Gardens and the north of the Scarlet Sands, situated between the two areas and hidden by umber formations. It contains both a memoir and a Dressing Table that can be used to change the Builder's appearance as early as the first day on the isle.
    • The first camp can be found towards the northeast of the Scarlet Sands near a beach. It is possible to sleep at the camp on the first night on the isle. The second camp can be found on a mountain in the north of the Cerulean Steppe, close to a clearing and under an awning of snow.
