Kazam is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.

Description[]

Envelops a target with a sphere of crushing, blasphemous bolts.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest IX[]

Making its main series debut, it is learned by Sages at level 43, with base damage at 120~180, and caps at 315~375 damage. It costs 20 MP to use, and is also used by Cobra cardinals, Wight emperors, Barbarus, Fowleye, Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, Psaro the Manslayer, and Dhoulmagus in battle.

Dragon Quest X[]

Learned by Sages and Demon Swordsmen at level 64, as well as recruited Drackies by investing 32 skill points into their Zam skill tree, it costs 26 (14 from 2.1 onwards) MP to use, damaging an enemy for 155 to 169 damage, capping at 375 to 389 damage. It is also used by Pious dogras, Spitegeists, Lunar chimaeras, Pumpkin kids, Stumped druids, Evil tree ents, Hellbound hunters, Evil sorcerers, Headhunters, Fromage greys, Fromage feys, Dark candles, Kirinji giraffes, Vampire succubats, Blackseed kids, Dread dragooners, Marbguars, Fluzulas, Purplanaries, Darktors, Shadowmours, Silhoubarons, Bone bats and Bone barons gone Vicious, Nelgel, Injury Vortex, Kukulkannibal, Hate tree, Bonita, Darknesses of Hatred, Contraindicated Spawns, Jagonuba's Dark Hands, and Momo during the Mitron boss fight. In the Offline version, it is learned by Fuura at level 41 and the Hero in the Sage vocation at level 64.

Dragon Quest XI[]

Acting the same as in its previous appearances, it is learned by Rab at level 52 and damages an enemy for 132~156 damage, capping at 238~323. It costs 18 MP to use, and is also used by Wight princes, Dragooners, Shadeshifters, Fruity succubats gone Malicious, Gold drohls and Succubats gone Vicious, Supreme succubats, Fouler jowlers, Gloomnivore, Auroral Serpent, Jasper, Mordegon, his Lord of Shadows forme, Necrogondolier, the Wrecktor in Baramos's Lair, and Psaroid, as well as Dread Dragooners and Lunar Chimaeras once again.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[]

Making its debut, it is learned by investing 7 skill points into the Bang & Zam III skillset, 8 skill points into the Über Dark Dynamiter skillset, 15 skill points into the Crack & Zam III and Woosh & Zam III skillsets, 16 skill points into the Frizz & Zam III skillset, 35 skill points into the Cursader skillset, 43 skill points into the Estark and Bang & Zam II skillsets, 44 skill points into the Frizz & Zam II skillset, 62 skill points into the Crack & Zam II and Woosh & Zam II skillsets, 70 skill points into the Mortamor skillset, and 100 skill points into the Niflheim skillset, and deals a maximum of 321~375 damage to 1 enemy, costing 10 MP to cast.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Professional[]

Acting the same as in previous appearances, it is learned by investing 16 skill points in the Sizz & Zam III skillset and investing 44 skill points into the Sizz & Zam II skillset, as well as the same skillsets from the previous game, expect for Cursader. It costs 10 MP to cast once again, and can be learned by investing 55 skill points into the Estark skillset and 120 skill points into the Mortamor skillset in the Professional version.

Terry's Wonderland 3D/SP & Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key/SP[]

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it costs 10 MP to cast once again. Upon reaching a wisdom state of 999, the spell will deal 327~362 damage.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3/Professional[]

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it costs 10 MP to cast once again.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[]

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by investing 20 skill points into the Impactor talent, 40 skill points into the Zam Virtuoso talent, 50 skill points into the Agent Provocateur talent, 70 skill points into the Demoniac talent, and 85 skill points into the Dark Horse and Pyrotechnician talents, costing 10 MP to cast once again.

Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II[]

Learned by investing 8 skill points into Psaro, it once again costs 14 MP and creates a large darkness explosion in front, while attacking a wide area, making it useful for crowd control. In the sequel, it can also be used by transforming into a Sorcerer through its Monster Medal.

Dragon Quest of the Stars[]

Appears as a spell for the Banesword's blade.

Dragon Quest Walk[]

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned at level 30 when equipping the Dragonlord's staff and costs 18 MP to cast once again. In addition, it is also learned by recruited Drackies, Ghosts, Hawk men, and Skelegons at level 50 and costs 28 MP for them to cast.

Dragon Quest Tact[]

Learned by Spooky Valencia at level 31, it acts the same as in previous appearances and costs 72 MP to cast. It is also used by Aamon during the Dragon Quest IV Event, and Nimzo during the Dragon Quest V Event. It can also be learned by the Vendor Ghost via its Talent Blossoming.
