Come on you lot! Don't feel baaaad!— Ruff, upon using the ability.
Lambpede is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest VII[]
Making its debut, Lambpede is learned upon reaching rank 8 of the Shepherd vocation in both the PSX and 3DS versions of the game. The skill strikes four times, damage being based off of the user's level, calculated as Lv x 2 + 25 with a range of +/-10% in the PSX original. In the 3DS version, damage is Lv x 1.3 + 20 with a +/- range of 6. The skill attacks all enemies once, like a whip strike. It costs 0 MP to use, and can be used in any terrain, but has a 33.5% chance to fail.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Victory[]
Appearing as Sir Mervyn's Coup de Grâce after scanning the Blind Man's Biff SP card, he uses a leaf like a flute to call in a large herd of sheep, with Ruff on one them, to damage all enemies, though Maribel hijacks the sheep Mervyn was riding.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Appearing as Ruff's Coup de Grâce, he uses a leaf like a flute to call in a large herd of sheep just like Mervyn in Battle Road Victory, and jumps into the flock while riding a wolf to hurt any and all enemies that are in the baaad crossfire.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Reappearing during the game's True Dragon Quest VII Event, it is not learned by any monsters naturally, instead being obtained as a scroll after clearing many missions in the Lambpede mission and deals major physical damage 4 times to all random enemies in range. It costs 85 MP to use, while upgrading the skill increases damage and reduces MP cost.
Trivia[]
- According to the Silenus's bestiary entry in Dragon Quest X, this skill was the reason these monsters exist because they were former human Shepherds run over in their line of work.
