Appearances[]

Dragon Quest VII[]

The leather whip has an attack bonus of +25 and a style bonus of +11. It can only be equipped by Maribel and Aishe. It can be purchased from Greenthumb Gardens and the Pilgrim's Rest Inn for 1,300 gold and sold for 650 gold. Leather whips can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the Casino.

Dragon Quest VIII[]

The leather whip has an attack bonus of +6. It can only be equipped by Jessica Albert and is part of her initial equipment. The whip can be sold for 85 gold, but it is quite rare as it cannot be purchased in any shops. Another whip can be found in a treasure chest in the Pickham Region. It can be upgraded into a Snakeskin whip by combining it with a Scale shield in the Alchemy Pot or used to make a Leather kilt by combining it with a Bandana. In the 3DS version, the whip can also be equipped by Red.
