Making its debut, they are wielded by Leery louts in battle against their enemies to defend themselves.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Wielded by Leery Louts once again, they can now block enemy attacks and spells, in addition to damaging enemies with Blockenspiel and defending themselves once again.
Dragon Quest X[]
Now equippable by players, it is created by mixing 4 Iron ores and 4 Twisted talons after obtaining a recipe book dropped from Leery Louts, as well as dropped in white treasure chests by Leery Louts themselves from Version 4 onwards. They are also wielded by Leery Louts once again, as well as their rarefied counterparts, to breathe Fire Breath on their enemies, in addition to defending themselves and blocking enemy attacks and spells once again. In the Offline version of the game, Distan wields one when he joins the party.
