A bamboogieman is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest series.

The bamboogieman is a robotic bamboo warrior monster that is dressed like a Japanese soldier and it is armed with a spear for combat. They lead hundreds of Bambooligans, Bamboozlers, and Lantern soldiers, who fight and die for them, as well as their superiors. Of course, Bamboogiemen themselves are subservient to General mechs, not just their superiors.
