Lingering Malhaze (Fog of War in the Erdrick Trilogy HD-2D) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[]

Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is learned by Monster Wranglers after rescuing 100 monsters and neutralizes spells for both enemies and allies alike. It costs 12 MP to use, and is also used by Armfuls and King Hydra in battle.

Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake[]

Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is used by Armageddon in battle.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[]

Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is used by Venomolluscs in battle.

Dragon Quest V[]

Making its debut, it is used by Soulspawns to block all spells on both sides.

Dragon Warrior Monsters[]

ThickFog requires 22 MP, 120 ATK, & 60 INT 160 to be learned by a monster. Once these requirements are met, then Catapila, GateGuards, MadSpirits, Shadows, & WhipBirds will learn how to perform it.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2[]

ThickFog is now also learned by NoctoKing, PomPomBom, & Niteric. It has the same properties and requirements as before.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker 2 Professional[]

It is learned through the Antimagic 2, Dual Duellers, Khalamari, Niflheim, and Vile Void skillsets.
