The following are Axe skills in Dragon Quest IX. Axe skills can be learned via Gladiator and Ranger classes.

13	Parallax	An attack that has a chance to paralyze the enemy.	2
22	Critical Hit Rate Up	Increases critical hit rate when wielding an axe
35	Helm Splitter	An attack that may decrease the enemy's defence.	2
42	Attack +20	Increases attack when wielding an axe
58	Hatchet Man	Tries to deal a critical hit on the opponent, or fails. Very popular against metal king slimes.	8
76	Attack +30	Increases attack when wielding an axe
88	Axes of Evil	Damages a group of enemies.	0
100	Omnivocational Axemaster	Enables the character to use axes with any vocation.
	Whopper Chop	A critical strike that smashes into a single enemy. Skill can be used if the book, Advanced Axecraft is in the character's items and an axe is equipped.	16
