Amitt

Father of Maribel. He is the mayor (head fisherman in the original Japanese) of Fishbel, and lives in a large mansion. When he contracts an illness, Maribel leaves the party to help him.

Anise

Wife of Sharkeye. It is rumored that she is the princess of some far-off country, whose name is unknown. She was with her husband on his pirate ship, but left for Coastal Castle at the request of its king. When the heroes visit Coastal, she is ill, and is sleeping in her bedroom. She is pregnant, and the King of the Sea states that her child will be important in the future. Therefore, the King grants her the Power of the Mermaid, allowing her to live until her child is needed.

Azmov

A scholar studying in the town of Hamelia. He owns a magic cap which increases his intelligence.

Baloch

A famous architect of Litorud. He designed the Clock Tower and the Baloch Bridge. His buildings are known for their flashy features.

Borkano

Father of the hero. He is a fisherman of some repute in Estard. He disappeard in Disc 2, when Estard is sealed; but he is rescued by Sharkeye.

Brugeo

Brugeo is an extremely wealthy man who lives in a mansion on an island above Orph.

He bought the hotstone from Hondura, the hero's uncle. He eventually decides to lend the hotstone to the party in exchange for them to travel with him to the place where they need to use it. They led him to the tallest tower, where the hotstone was required to open the door. He also witnessed Melvin's reawakening at the top of the tower.

Burns Grand

King of Grand Estard, and father to Prince Kiefer. He keeps his head, even when his son runs off with important items from the castle.

Clayman

Clayman is the village warrior. When the town is in need of supplies, Clayman goes to get them. Millie, his wife, warned him that the monsters have become more fierce. But he reminds her that he has to go and get the supplies because he's the only one who knows how to fight. He leaves to begin his journey, telling her that when he returns, they will announce to the villagers their marriage. With a final embrace, Clayman departs from Dialac.

While Clayman is away, a Gray Rain falls from the sky. It turns the population of Dialac to stone.

Clayman, who was returning to the village at the same time, avoided the rain. Finding the townspeople turned to stone, he sets out to find a cure for the gray rain. He found such a cure called the Angel Tear. However, the statues were severely eroded by the elements. As such, using the AngelTear would have no effect on the people. Understanding this, he stays in Dialic, waiting for death to come to him as well.

Clayman encounters the party 50 years after the Gray Rain has fallen. He tells them about the state of the town, telling them to move on as Dialac is beyond salvation.

The party ignores Clayman's words and uses the Angel Tear on the town. A young boy appears from a secret hideaway. The boy, Joseph, is reunited with Clayman who recognizes him instantly. The two of them decide to go to other towns and warn people about the Gray Rain.

Firia

Firia is a young girl who lives in the city of Gorges. She's one of the rare (at the time) children who was born without wings, making her unable to fly. Because of this, she is generally shy and there were some rumours that she wasn't even a Lefan.

She will accompany you to the Lefa Temple because some doors can only be opened by Lefans. Her Lefan heritage was proven when she opened one of these doors.

God

At one time, he fought the Devil, Orgodemir, but according to legend he was defeated in the struggle. During the battle, he says that he built the temple to ensure the future survival of humans. In fact, he is in the hidden dungeon, reached by a Mysterious Tablet. Moves to the Immigrant Town.

Hondara

The hero's uncle, who lives in the castle town of Grand Estard. He sells goods of questionable provenance, but they are important to the plot.

Iwan

Iwan is the son of Borlock, the owner of Verdham's Herb Garden. He falls in love with Linda, one of his father's servants. He proposes to marry her, which would eliminate her debt. He is jealous of Pepe who he feels is monopolizing Linda's affection.

Johann

Kaya

Kaya works as a servant to Borlock, the owner of Verdham's herb garden. She is in love with Iwan, Borlock's son. However, he is in love with Linda who, in turn, is love with Pepe.

King of the Sea

The King who lives on the ocean floor. He has mystical powers. In the past, he has the form of an old man, while in the present he wears a shell hat from Estard, and lives on the seabed to the south of that island.

A dancer of the Deja tribe, and ancestor of Aira, through her husband Kiefer.

Linda

Linda works as a servant to Borlock, the owner of the Herb Garden in Verdham. Her father had accumulated a substantial debt to Borlock. Because of this, Linda works for Borlock to pay off this debt. In the process, she caught the eye of Iwan, Borlock's son.

Lucas

A woodman's son who lives in Labres. He is one of the few villagers who sees the truth about the heroes. His parents have died, so he has a golden statue of his parents instead.

Michaela

A princess of Mardra who loves music. She sponsors a Toula concert at the Great Temple.

Mollie

Mollie is the hero's mother, and Borkano's wife

Pamela

A fortune teller and apothecary in Engow. Pamela is a family name, which survives in the present world.

Pepe

Pepe works as an indentured servant, along with his father and brother, to Borlock. He tends the herb garden, which is the reason for Verdham's success as a city. He is in love with Linda but feels that they shouldn't be together due to her impending marriage to Iwan, Borlock's son.

Mayor of Loomen. He is the ancestor of the Monster Gramps who runs the Monster Park.

Spirits

The four spirits which serve God. The Spirit of Fire lives in the mountains, the Spirit of Earth sleeps in the desert, the Spirit of Wind is in the shrine of Gorges, and the Spirit of Water is in the Rainbow Bay. These places are sealed by the Devil in Disc 2, and the spirits help to unseal them, and reveal Orgodemir's true form. Their power can be summoned with the Amulet. Each spirit has its own theme music, and the theme of the Wind Spirit has become especially popular. All four spirits appear at once in the second hidden dungeon.

Trad and Zebbot

Zebbot is the inventor of the vacuum cleaner, and other similar devices. He has repaired one of the enemies' robots and named it after his lost lover Elie
