Magma Blast is a recurring skill/spell in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest VI[]
Making its debut, it is learned by advancing to Rank 7 of the Armamentalist vocation and by recruited Rockbombs at level 15, though only in the SNES version. It deals 70~85 damage, but has a 1⁄3 chance to fail and cannot be used at sea.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Learned by advancing to Rank 3 of the Druid vocation, and by mastering the Well wisher vocation, it acts the same as in VI, and is also used by Orgodemir during the first phase of the "final battle" and third phase of the true final battle, and by the Fire Spirit in both fights. In the 3DS remake, it is learned by advancing to Rank 4 of the Druid vocation, and deals 110~120 damage. It is also used by Sorcerer's saucières in battle.
Dragon Quest X[]
Learned by investing 120 skill points into the Druid's Summon skill tree, it costs 22 MP to use and damages the enemy, while reducing their earth resistance.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]
Reappearing from Battle Road II onwards, it is the blue button skill for the Magma staff and damages one enemy in battle.
Dragon Quest Walk[]
Appearing as a spell in this spinoff entry, it is learned at level 20 via the Magma staff and deals major Sizz spell damage to one enemy, costing 25 MP to cast.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Learned by Killer Torches at Level 44, it deals major Frizz-type spell damage to 1 enemy while generating a liquid lava space for 2 turns and costs 93 MP to cast.
