Mandrake monarch

The mandrake monarch is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest series.

Characteristics[]

Royalty of the monster world, these dragon monarchs command a small army of creatures to do their bidding and back them up in battle. These summoned soldiers even look and sound like them, clad in the same solid armor with the same curved sword and with similar scaled, crimson skin. To help their allies further and more easily overwhelm the enemy, they use the Kasap spell to drop the defenses of a whole group of adventurers.

In the 3DS version of DQVII, a Mandrake monarch is red in color of its body instead of purple. This is most likely to differentiate it from Setesh the Punisher.
