Master Felix is a character in Dragon Quest VIII. Known by the public as the Great sabrecat father he is the owner of the Chateau Felix and an all-around lover of felines, with a particular fondness for Great sabrecats, which he owns several of.

Biography[]
Dragon Quest VIII[]
At some point in his life Master Felix met a Great sabrecat and he became the very first Great sabracat to open his heart to the kind man. Naming him Baumren the two fostered a strong friendship that lasted years. Inspired by Baumren, Master Felix decided to dedicate his life to felines, constructing a personal villa, named Chateau Felix, in the Baccarat Region which he turned in a pseudo zoo filled with cats and sabrecats, and founded the Great Sabrecat Trust, a group of similarly minded individuals. Due to his role of chairman of said group he became a very busy person, always stuffed to the brim with paperwork. Master Felix can be spoken to only if the party is able to ace the feline-themed personality quiz of Tom, his helper. After taking a brief rest from his paperwork Felix, recognizing the party's worth as adventurers will task them to deliver a phial of Sands of Serenity to Baumren who, after passing away during an errand on his master behalf, got lost on his way to the afterlife around a peculiar tree only visible at dawn. To speed up the search for the tree, Felix will allow the party to mount one of his sabrecats. Once Baumren is finally able to pass in the afterlife, Master Felix decides to reward the party by allowing them to join the Great Sabrecat Trust, entrusting to them Baumren's Bell, a special item with the power to call to its wielder aid a Great sabrecat from almost anywhere in the world.
