Megamorphosis is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Making its debut, Amos has this ability when he joins the party after they restore his mind with the Seeds of Reason. When used, he can transform into the Scrimsley terror and will alternate between using Stomp, Thin Air, a ferocious bite (125% damage), normal attacks, and Body Slam, while increasing his base evasion to 1/16th. Mud mannequins can also learn this skill when they are recruited, though only in the SNES version.
Learned when any character advances to Rank 7 of the Platinum king jewel class, it acts the same as in VI, and will grant a (30%) resistance to all elements, 145 strength, 130 resilience, and 65 agility, while superseding the resistances of all other monster vocations.
Reappearing for the first time since VII, it is only used by Platinum king jewels themselves when they are finally encountered as a normal enemy from the first part of 3.5 onwards. When used, it transforms allies into Platinum King Jewels to give them an edge against enemies.
