Mercury's rapier is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. Like the Falcon blade and the Über falcon blade, this sword in some titles, can attack twice in a single turn when equipped .

Dragon Quest VII 3DS[]
"Equip this super-swift sword to strike twice in a single turn".
With an Attack bonus of +65 and a Style bonus of +32, the Mercury's rapier, which cannot be sold,can be bought at the Buccanham casino in exchange for 10000 casino tokens in the present time. It can equipped by the Hero, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe.
When equipped, each attack hits twice, just like a Falcon blade, albeit with the caveat of a relatively inferior attack multiplier for the second hit, compared to the other multi-hit weapons, such as the Falcon knife earrings. However, if the Strenght stat of the one who has equipped it is sufficiently high, the Mercury's rapier's damage output will still be superior than those other multi-hit weapons.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
Introduced in this title, with an Attack bonus of +78 and an Agility bonus of +20, the Mercury's rapier, which can only be equipped by Angelo, can be bought at both Empycchu and Dark Empycchu for 10500 gold, and sold for 5100 gold. Alternatively, it can be created through Alchemy by fusing a Fallen angel rapier with 2 Mercury's bandanas.
Recipe: Fallen angel rapier + Mercury's bandana + Mercury's bandana
Unlike other titles, in Dragon Quest VIII, the Mercury's rapier does not have the ability to hit twice per attack.
