Mermaniac (Merking in Dragon Quest V) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
Mermaniacs first debuted in Dragon Quest III, as cold-water relatives of the Mermen. The flesh is greener than that of the silvery-blue Merman. They are frequently found in the same regions as the Squidzilla, another cold-loving aquatic creature. However, Mermaniacs and Squidzilla rarely appear side-by-side.
