Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker 2 Professional[]
The Missing Lynx is the boss of the Doubtback. It is a Rank C monster and takes up all three monster slots. It is the second Giant monster players can encounter in the game. Like the Wormonger, Lynx roams the Doubtback scaring off the smaller monsters, and can be battled. The Lynx does a huge amount of damage if provoked outside of his cave.
It can be beaten inside its cave during the day when it is asleep. The only part of it not sleeping is its tail, the Tall tail. Tall tail attacks and must be defeated before the rest of the boss awakens.
The monster reprises its role in the Professional version of the game.

Etymology[]
Both names are big-cat puns, but with different origins:
- "Missing lynx" is a play on "missing links", key bits of information (usually in research or forensics) that are absent but needed to tie together what has already been established; and "lynx", any member of a big-cat family with short tails that includes the American bobcat and the European lynx.
- "Pink panzer" is a pun mixing the creature's colour with the German word for "armour", "breastplate", or "tank (vehicle)" that has Latin and Old French origins. It conveniently plays off the Blake Edwards character The Pink Panther as well.
