Etymology[]
Whiskamancer is a mashup of "whisker" and "necromancer", while its other name, "Mogus" is a mashup of "moggy", British slang for a cat, and "magus" (pl. magi), which comes from the Latin for "wizard" or "learned person"; thus, it follows with the tradition of naming catty casters of magic with similar hybrid names.
