Monsterous Marine is a boss monster who appears in Dragon Quest X, and a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. She is an imposter pretending to be the benevolent Sage Marine, created by the evil Pujyu.
She seemingly helped King Bagudo of Glenn in disposing of a dangerous pendant with a stone of demon miasma, supposedly sent as a gift by Gardlund, which she actually kept as she was the one who had originally sent it to the Kingdom of Glenn; she then attempted to kidnap strong soldiers from Gardlund to form her own army alongside her "little sister" Mystical Juliante, using the necklace as a bait for "the one who returned to life".
For this slight, among other things, the real Sage Marine would eventually defeat Pujyu for good.
