Multislash is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its main series debut, it is used by Harmours, Alarmours, AU-1000es, Prime slimes, Goresby-Purrvis, & Excalipurr to hit a random group of enemies 4 times and is 0.5 stronger than a regular attack.
Dragon Quest X[]
Initially an enemy-only skill once again, it is used by Hussar when brainwashed by Principal Nadia and Otherworldly Goresby-Purrvis, as well as Goreby-Purrvis and Excalipurr once again, to hit an enemy 5 times with about 0.6 times the normal attack. It can eventually be learned by investing 15 skill points into Hussar's Sword Technique Style skill tree in the Online original, and by investing 25 skill points into his Coolness skill tree in the Offline version of the game. It costs 4 MP to use in the former and 6 MP to use in the latter.
Dragon Warrior Monsters[]
Called RainSlash in the Eidos localization, the skill deals 80%, 60% and 40% damage from left to right and it requires the monster to reach level 15 with 92 HP, 90 Attack and 96 Agility in order to learn it. It is naturally learned by the Armorpion, Centasaur, Esterk, Ogre, Roboster, SkulRider, SlimeBorg, Snapper, StubBird and Swordgon. It can also be learned by monsters with BiAttack and SquallHit.
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2[]
The requirements to learn RainSlash are unchanged nor are the damage modifiers. It is naturally learned by the AxeShark, BeastNite, CancerMan, Dumbira, FishRider, KingSquid and Serpentia. It is no longer naturally learned by the Ogre.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[]
Multislash costs 5 MP to cast. The user attacks all enemies from left to right with the first attack at full power, the second at 80%, and subsequent attacks at 60%. It can be learned from:
- Assassin (60 points)
- Bird Brain (63 points)
- Captain Crow (23 points)
- Cluboon III (28 points)
- Estark (11 points)
- Warrior (49 points)
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]
Reappearing from Battle Road II onwards, it is the blue button skill of the Erazor blade that damages one enemy by slashing it multiple times.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker 2 Professional[]
Multislash can no longer be learned from Assassin, and Bird Brain now requires 53 points.

Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Already learned by Lazarel at the beginning of the game, it deals multiple blows, with the last one hitting the hardest, and costs 6 MP to use.
Dragon Quest of the Stars[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it appears as a skill for the Fizzle foil, and can also be equipped to other swords.
Dragon Quest Walk[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned at level 10 when wielding the Dark Armour Blade, level 20 when wielding the Erdrick's sword, Saber of destruction, Silver rapier, and Sword of the Chosen weapons, and Gladiators at level 25, costing 13 MP to use. It is also learned by recruited Grim riders and Cruelcumbers at level 30 and recruited Harmours at level 50, costing 27 MP to use.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Learned by Gargoyles at level 36 and Metal slime knights at level 20, it acts the same as in previous appearances once again and costs 20 MP to use. In addition, multiple variants of this skill, including a Hatchet Man version, make their debut in this game. A scroll of this ability can be obtained by clearing Stage 7 of Sintaur's Battle Road.

Dragon Quest Champions[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned at level 20 when wielding the Steel broadsword and the Sword of Light weapons, as well as already learned when wielding the Nova sword and Aliahan sword weapons, costing 20 MP to use once again.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[]
Multislash costs 5 MP and deals 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% damage of a normal attack to the enemy party from left to right. It is learned through the Blade Maven, Duelist, Estark, Freezer Burner, Leading Light, Maniac, Storm Brewer, Überkilling Machine, and Vegabond talents.
