Multithrust is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.
Description[]
Launches 3-4 strikes on random targets at 50% damage each.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest VIII[]
Making its debut, it is learned by the Hero after investing 25 skill points into his spear skill tree, costing 4 MP to use. It can also be used by Orcs, Grim Riders, and Octavian sentries, as well as Night Riders in the 3DS remake.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Acting the same as in VIII, it is learned by investing 88 skill points into the Spear skill tree and once again costs 4 MP to use. It is also used by Stenchurions, the Wight Knight, and Sir Sanguinus in battle.
Dragon Quest X[]
Learnt when 120 skill points are invested into the Spear skill tree, it costs 4 MP to use once again, and can hit enemies for 0.75 the amount of damage from 2.1 onwards. It is also used by Orc kings, Orc chieftains, Zumeanies, Scourgettes, Bone barons, Night riders, Shadow nobles, Bamboozlers, Bamboogiemen, Orc queens, Cruelcumbers, Monogettes, Gigantifungi when it has transformed into a Cruelcumber, and Erin, as well as Orcs once again. It can also be learned by investing 18 skill points into a recruited Bamboozler's Takeyari Military Arts skill tree, with the skill's power increased by 20% after investing 43 skill points in the same tree after the Bamboozler's 10th reincarnation.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Jade learns Multithrust for 18 points in her Spears section of her Character Builder. It strikes four random targets within a group for 75% damage per stab, 300% damage against a single foe. It costs 12 MP to use, and is used by Pine needlers, Bambooligans, Electric needlers, as well as Orcs, Orc Kings, Orc Chieftains, Zumeanies, Bamboozlers, and Bamboogiemen once again. In addition, Horknights and Horknight watchmen can use a variation of the skill called Double Multithrust.
Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Appearing as a basic skill action of Kiryl, it is activated by pressing the △ button (X button in the Nintendo Switch ports). It is also an action for Lazarel and Theresa when they are in the Gladiator vocation during the sequel.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances, it is learned by Orc Chieftains at level 26, and costs 25 MP to use. A scroll of this ability can be obtained by clearing Stage 7 of Dark Armour Spear Hyunckel's Battle Road.
