Biography[]

Ver 5.3[]

Nalasia first appears as a captive of the Netherworld Liberation Army who was set to be used as a sacrifice in a ritual thought to ensure victory, though he is shortly rescued by Beltro and the protagonist. To Beltro's surprise, he appeared to be immune to the demonic miasma used by the army. Then, when Beltro mentions Illusia, Nalasia mysteriously disappears without explanation. He later reappears and shocks onlookers by being able to cross the Netherworld and break Archfiend Azbar's barrier during a siege, despite Nalasia being in a severely weakened state for unknown reasons. It is revealed that he felt guided by Illusia's presence, but collapses soon after and is taken to an infirmary.

Later, Nalasia returns and demonstrates his ability to absorb the demonic miasma surrounding the Garden of Jadin that the protagonist and their party are struggling with. From there, he accompanies them to the Gouda Temple and the Temple of Jagonuba. Though, once the party reaches the Shrine of Origin, both Nalasia and Illusia are in a dazed state. Nonetheless, the party progresses until they reach the temple's depths, to which both Nalasia and Illusia reveal that they've recalled a specific memory. According to the two, their purpose was to seal Jagonuba again after his seal had been severely weakened. Thus, they are allowed to enter the temple's chamber.

Nalasia and Illusia both approach Jagonuba as if they're about to seal him, though they are unable to reseal him. Instead, they seem to undergo an accelerated awakening and regain their memories at the same time. After the defeat of Daviyaga in the temple, Nalasia is left in a severely dazed state and is carried back to the Great Demon King's castle by Rusjenda. He soon comes down with a severe fever and is unable to relay what he remembers.

Ver. 5.4[]

The chapter begins with Nalasia waking in the infirmary and begins talking to Illusia. Though, when the protagonist enters, he seems to have forgotten who they are. Though, before the protagonist can reintroduce themselves, Shaka enters with a different request. Afterward, he can be seen in the Silver Forest and Finetoka, though he quickly disappears after being spotted. Illusia then comments to the protagonist that she can sense Nalasia's presence, but she is unable to see him.

After Illusia awakens as the vessel for Goddess Luciana, Nalasia reappears from a shadow. Upon his arrival, Pujyu refers to him as "Lord Jagonuba". It is then revealed that during the battle in the temple, Nalasia had Jagonuba sealed within him, and that Jagonuba has consumed his memories and conscience, turning his eyes from their typical grey to red.

Nalasia then proceeds to reawaken Yafagil and travels forth to the Rufa Temple to perform a ritual that would fuse his soul with Illusia's. After the ritual is successful, he praises the protagonist and tells them that his body is now sealed. They then travel back to the Silver Forest, where Nalasia throws himself in front of the protagonist and is fused into Jagonuba's body.

Ver. 5.5[]

Nalasia primarily appears as an avatar of Jagonuba behind a screen of demonic miasma. He details to the protagonist that he intends to kill their sibling, considering them a traitor to his cause. He watches the protagonist closely as they escape the Temple of Jagonuba and their ensuing adventure to attempt to stop him. He proceeds to attempt to kill the protagonist's sibling by bonding their soul with his, though is thwarted when the protagonist and Shaka intervene. Despite Illusia using Luciana's power to purify them from the miasma, the protagonist's sibling is still pushed to the brink of death from Jagonuba's attack.

As the protagonist explores their sibling's memories, he often interferes with mocking comments. Nalasia does not appear in the flesh until the protagonist frees their sibling of the curse that resulted from the attempt to fuse their soul with Jagonuba's. Nalasia praises the protagonist and extends Jagonuba's hand to them with the offer of making them his servant. However, Shaka steps in and takes the offer, disappearing with Jagonuba and Nalasia.

Nalasia's body is fused again with Jagonuba after Shaka is turned into a Great Demon King, before being separated again once it's implied he regained his memories. He appears afterward wrapped in a great amount of demonic miasma, reaching out and calling for Illusia. Though, shortly after, the miasma explodes, killing him. In the chapter's ending, his hand can be seen pushing Illusia's back forward as she returns to the present world.

In the Memory of Light quest, Nalasia's childhood self can be seen on a projection device in a scene that reveals that he and Illusia are siblings. The two siblings had lived happily until he had been sealed away as a vessel of Jagonuba.
