An otter shambles is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
An unusual species of suit-demon, the otter shambles is known to inhabit arctic waters. It keeps a healthy supply of molluscs in its suit. Whether they are of quality or not, we may never know; if good, the meat of the mollusc will heal it and boost its strength; and if bad, it will regurgitate it at the party, shell and all. The otter shambles can still use the shell as a kind of weapon, spreading damage over its foes.
