Overkilling machine is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
A literal step above the regular killing machine, the overkilling machine is a force to be reckoned with. Carrying a morningstar and a sabre, it often attacks twice per turn and can inflict powerful melee attacks. It can also fire arrows from its crossbow tail.

The Overkilling Machine can be recruited via the Overkilling Machine Scout SP Gacha and learns Hunter's Bow, Crackerwhack, and Atomic Blade, while its Base Perk, Mageslayer, greatly raises its ATK and Spell Res for 2 turns and its Leader Perk raises the physical potency for all Inorganic allies, including itself, by 20% in a 5x5 square around it. It is first seen in Chapter 3 Episode 9: Elegia of the Five Fiends, ordered by Malini to destroy the player, Majellan, and Mindini, but fails. Later, another one is faced in its native continent of Percusso during Chapter 2 Episode 9.
