The party of Dragon Quest XI is the group of people who supported the reincarnation of the legendary Luminary in his quest to dispel the coming darkness and save Yggdrasil along with all of Erdrea, even when the former was maliciously labelled as the Darkspawn by the kingdom of Heliodor, in truth under the shadowy rule of the cruel Mordegon, eventually even completing the epic task that the original Luminary and his own party couldn't achieve, slaying the Dark One, Calasmos.

Members

• The Luminary- The Hero who is not only the son of King Irwin and Queen Elanor of the kingdom Dundrasil, but was born as the reincarnation of the ancient legendary hero named Erdwin, the Luminary who is the chosen child of Yggdrasil to protect the world from darkness, Sadly, his birth was anticipated by said evil forces, and his home and most of his family were destroyed in one single night, hoping to kill him before he could grow up and learn how to defend himself. But miraculously, the Luminary survived and was found in a basket among the river's water by the kind Chalky, who raised him alongside his daughter Amber as a righteous young man. Learning of his destiny, the Luminary attempted to seek aid from the kingdom of Heliodor, unaware of the hostility they bore against him. Thrown into jail as the dreaded Darkspawn, only thanks the help of Erik, the Luminary was able to escape and begin his journey for answers.
• Erik- A thief with a heart of gold, Erik had a rough upbringing, which eventually lead to a mistake he could never forgive himself for; however, sometime after receiving a premonition from the elusive Seer about his destiny to help the Luminary, Erik, after being shocked to see the latter held prisoner right in cell next to his own, decided to follow the hero, convinced that it would lead to his redemption.
• Veronica- One of the Keepers of Arboria and a powerful mage, Veronica and her twin sister Serena were tasked, as reincarnations of the powers of one of the old Luminary Erdwin's companions, the sage Serenica, to find and protect the Luminary in his task. However, along the way, Veronica was abducted by one of the Lord of Shadows minions, Jarvis, who accidentally drained her physical age until she appeared as a child. Nevertheless, even with her new diminutive stature, Veronica still remained a force to be reckon with thanks to her superior offensive magic spells.
• Serena- One of the Keepers of Arboria, Serena and her twin sister veronica were tasked, as reincarnations of the powers of one of the old Luminary Erdwin's companions, the sage Serenica, to find and protect the Luminary in his task. Meeker than her sister, Serena was nonetheless a powerful spellcaster, specialized in healing magic.
• Sylvando- A jovial circus performer with an impeccable knight's training, the dream of the flamboyant Sylvando is to spread a smile on the face of every person of Erdrea; but when he learned that a force of evil was about to threaten the world's peace, Sylvando did not hesitate to put his abilities in the service of the Luminary.
• Rab- The former king of the now ruined kingdom of Dundrasil, Rab, both a powerful sage and a competent martial artist with a perverted side, had long since the horrible night when his kingdom fell and his familiy perished, travelled around Erdrea in search for answers, trying to uncover the identity of the culprint behind the massacre, taking care in the meanwhile of the young princess of Heliodor, Jade, who was presumed dead by her kingdom. Shockingly finding the Luminary alive and well years later, after some playful goading, Rab and Jade revealed their true identities, and joined forces with him against the forces of evil.
• Jade- The princess of Heliodor, ever since losing her mother to sickness, had latched on lady Eleanor of Dundrasil, viewing her as a mother figure; so, she was overjoyed when she heard the news of a new surrogate baby brother joining them. Sadly, the night of the child's birth Dundrasil was razed to the ground, with Jade and the baby only managing to survive through Elanor's sacrifice. But Jade fell into a river, losing the baby to the current, while she was miraculously saved by Rab. Finding her father Carnelian unrecognizable and suspecting that an evil influence was behind it, both Rab and Jade decided to not return to Heliodor, and instead travel Erdrea ins each for answers. Beautiful and a powerful martial artist, Jade should not be underestimated, not on the battlefield, nor outside of it.
• Hendrik- One of the two champions of Heliodor, Hendrik, having lost much in his life due to the forces of evil, and having unwavering trust and loyalty in his liege, King Carnelian, believed him when he began asserting the Luminary's identity as the Darkspawn, with Hendrik unaware that Carnelian was possessed by Mordegon and his best friend, Jasper had been corrupted into evil by him. As such he pursued the Luminary like a hunting dog, cornering him many times across the world. After learning the sad truth however, Hendrik steeled himself and resolved to be instead the shield of the Luminary, becoming one of his trusted party members.

The party was supported by many people during their quest; one of them, Dave, one of Sylvando's oldest friends, personally manned the helm of the Salty Stallion, Syldando's personal ship. Later on, the party received the help of Cetacea, a sentient celestial whale able to fly into the skies.

Dragon Quest Treasures

Unlike the members of the other parties, none of the members of the Dragon Quest XI party appear in the form of statuettes of past heroes, as the younger versions of two of their allies, Erik and his sister Mia, the ones finding the various treasures during their stay in Draconia, would otherwise become privy of future events. Instead, ther clothes of the party members are what is found as treasures; furthrmore, the young Erik and Mia were able to briefly contact their future versions for guidence, although they were unable to recognize their true identity.
