Peep is a spell in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, Peep was then learnt by Mages, but has since extended to a less narrow range.
Peep is a field spell that was introduced alongside the monsters that gave worth to the spell: Cannibox and Mimic. Casting Peep will determine whether or not a treasure chest is safe and, in later instalments/reprises, can be used to appraise items.
