Persecutter is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Description[]
Deals double damage to enemies that are afflicted with sleep and/or confusion.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[]
Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is learned by Matilda at level 35. It costs 22 MP to use, and is also used by Surgical Spirit.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[]
Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is learned by Thieves at level 29. It costs 11 MP to use for the first time since Walk, and is used by Pandora's boxes in battle.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is learned by holding the Knifing Know-How book while wielding a knife and damages enemies who are sleeping and/or confused by twice the amount of a normal attack, costing 3 MP to use.
Dragon Quest X[]
Acting the same as in its debut, it can now learned by investing 35 skill points into the Knife skill tree, though its damage output is increased. It once again costs 3 MP to use, and can also be enhanced with the Master Orb system. In addition, it is also used by Kaito Poikkurin when she fights alongside the Hero against Kukuhawker. In the Offline version of the game, it is learned by investing 5 skill points into the Hero and Distan's Knives Character Builders.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Acting the same as in its last 2 appearances, it is learned by investing 9 skill points into Erik's Knives Character Builder and 13 into Sylvando's Knives Character Builder, costing 5 MP to use. It is also used alongside the Luminary's Snooze spell for the Snooze 'n' Bruise Pep Power.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key/SP[]
Persecutter can be used by the following skillsets:

Dragon Quest Walk[]
Persecutter can be learned by any character equipped with the Falcon knife earrings at weapon Level 20 and it costs 11 MP to use. It deals 280% slashing damage to any enemy that is asleep or confused.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[]
Persecutter costs 4 MP and deals 150% damage to enemies that are that are suffering altered states of mind, with mentally fit foes taking only 80% damage. It is learned through the Cutpurse, Enigma, Super Naturalist, and Wild Child talents.
