Plasma Dome (AKA Thunderbolt in DQotS and Tact) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest X[]

Making its main series debut, it is learned when one invests 42 skill points into the Bow skill tree. It deals 1.2 times the damage of a normal attack through a single lightning strike, traveling 15m. It costs 3 MP to use.

Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]

Making its debut in Battle Road, it is the blue button technique of the Phantom fencer, activated by thrusting its sword into the ground, creating an electric discharge that attacks all enemies.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[]

Dragon Quest of the Stars[]

Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II[]

Appearing as a skill of Bianca's when she joins the party, it costs 9 MP to use and creates a lightning dome from the arrow that stops enemies in their tracks while damaging them, while the skill itself can be enhanced with Plusma Dome for 20 skill points. In the sequel, it is also used when one transforms into a Cumaulus with its Monster Medal, in addition to Bianca retaining the skill.

Dragon Quest Tact[]

Used by King slime during its VS Quest, Slimes Rank Up on Hell difficulty and Hard Chapter 4 Episode 3 Combine!, Cyber slime during the aforementioned Chapter, Prism peacock during its VS Quest, and Azurome, it deals major Zap martial damage to all enemies in range and costs 84 MP to use.
