Though it appears to be nothing more than fancy floor dressing, in truth it is a magical flying carpet woven in the Dream World city of Sorceria. When the Dread Fiends devastated the two worlds, they sealed off the city to hide Magic Burst, the ultimate offensive spell, from any would-be threats to Mortamor's conquest. It is inferred that the sealing spell had an unintended effect, as it threw the young sorceress Ashlynn to the Real World along with the carpet. Ashlynn eventually found herself in Moonmirror Tower without a body; and the disenchanted carpet was picked up by Seymour Sass, who found it fashionable enough to use as a prize in his Best-Dressed Contest.
