Launches a melee attack that may poison the target.

Dragon Quest II[]
Making its debut, it is used by Bubble slimes, Cobra kings, Sentripedes, Killipedes, Gnashturtiums, Cobra kaisers, and Walking corpses to poison the Scions of Erdrick in battle.
Dragon Quest III[]
Acting the same from II onwards, it is used by Toxic toads, Betterflies, and Toxic zombies, as well as Bubble Slimes once again.
Dragon Quest IV[]
Acting the same as in its last two appearances, it is used by Funghouls, Crested vipers, Horny devils, Bodkin fletchers, and Wyverns in battle as well as Bubble Slimes once again.
Dragon Quest V[]
Marking the first time to be used by allies, Poison Attack does not cost MP to use and is learned by the following monsters:

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Scorpions, Death scorpions, and Wild boarfish, as well as Bubble Slimes, Walking Corpses, Bodkin Fletchers, Venom Wasps, Toxic Zombies, and Eveels once again.

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Ruff ruffians, as well as Death Scorpions, Bubble Slimes, Walking Corpses, Betterflies, Toxic Zombies, and Bodkin Fletchers once again.
