Poison Breath is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest II[]
Making its debut, it is a breath attack that poisons the Scions of Erdrick and is used by Gnashturtiums, as well as Batmandrills in the remakes.
Dragon Quest III[]
Acting the same as in II, it is used by Illerpillars and Toxic zombies to poison Erdrick and their companions.
Dragon Quest IV[]
Acting the same as in the previous 2 games, it is used by Killer gilas, Abracadabradors, Hellspawns, and Jade dragons to poison the Chosen.
Dragon Quest V[]
Now usable by allies, it is learned by recruited Walking corpses at level 20 and recruited Funghouls at level 3. It costs 0 MP to use, and is also used by Gasbags and Toxtongues in battle.
Dragon Quest VI[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances, it is learned by advancing to rank 3 of the Monster Master vocation, and is already learned by Walking Corpses when they are recruited, though only in the SNES version. It costs 0 MP to use once again, and is also used by Diethons and Toxic turnips in battle.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by advancing to rank 1 of the Monster Masher vocation, and rank 4 of the Walking corpse. It costs 0 MP to use once again, and is also used by Frightcrawlers, Diethons, Corpse corporals, Putric Stinkenheimer, the Worms of woe, and the Claw breaker in the Temple Palace basement, as well as Toxic Zombies once again.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
An enemy only skill for the first time since IV, it is used by Devilmoths. as well as Toxic Zombies and Hellspawns once again.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Once again an enemy only skill, it is used by Flythons, as well as Toxic Zombies once again.
Dragon Quest X[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Poison trills and Viper lickspittles, as well as Toxic Zombies, Illerpillars, and Killer Gilas once again.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Toxic toads, as well as Flythons once again.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Lickspittles at level 16, and already learned by Batmandrills, Illerpillars, and Rashaveraks when they are recruited, costing 11 MP to use. A scroll of this ability can also be obtained by clearing Stage 4 of Pickled slime's Battle Road and by exchanging 750 Dragon Festival and 1st Anniversary Medals, as well as 1000/3000 Legend League Seasons 1 and 2 Medals at the Swap Shop.
Dragon Quest Treasures[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Umbras and Grotty hands at level 10, costing 5 MP to use.
