Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is learned by investing 3 skill points into the Axe skill tree and deals 50% more damage to plant monsters, costing 0 MP to use.
Dragon Quest X[]
Acting the same as in its previous appearance, it is learned by investing 7 skill points in the Axe skill tree and costs 1 MP to use. It is also learned by investing 7 skill points into a recruited Hacksaurus and Hellbound horror's Axe skill tree, while investing 43 skill points increases the skill's power by 175%. The skill itself can be enhanced with the Master Orb system from Version 3 onwards, while its damage limit is increased to 2999 from 6.2 onwards.
