Prince Gilgalan, occasionally referred to as just Gilgalan, is a character from Dragon Quest X and the first prince of the Orseco Kingdom.
Appearance[]
Gilgalan is a tall man with a muscular physique, yellow eyes, and short white hair. Like other Ogres, he has red skin with pointy ears, red horns, a tail, spikes jutting from his shoulders, and markings across his body in a darker red color. He typically wears a white cape with a red marking on it, as well as a sleeveless black top and gold bracers. Additionally, he wears blue diamond-shaped earrings, a gold necklace, and gold armlets. All of his jewelry includes blue gemstones implanted into them. For his bottom half, he wears black pants with gold thighlets, a lower white cape, and brown boots with gold tops.
In battle, he typically wields the Glory axe, a large axe with red and gold accents.
Personality[]
Gilgalan is often regarded by his subjects as having a violent attitude, resulting in him being out of their favor. Additionally, he often does as he pleases with no regard for his status as a prince, including robbing royal family tombs. Though, beneath his public appearance as an imposing man, his older brother views him as a kind soul. Despite this, he initially treats the protagonist as his minion.
