Summons a giant sword to damage one or all enemies.

Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is a Co-op de Grâce that is used when all four party members are primed for a Coup de Grâce and have a Warrior or a Ranger in their party, summoning a huge sword falls from the sky that deals a massive load of damage to one enemy, dependent on the strength of the entire party. It can also damage Metal slime monsters.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Now a skill for the first time in the main series, it is learned by the Luminary during his training in Angri-La against his grandfather. It initially starts as a small sword, but gets bigger with every use, becoming a giant orange sword. When completed, it costs 24 MP to use, and can damage all enemies. It is also used alongside Rab's Pearly Gates for the Solar Flair Pep Power, being an inverse of the Coup de Grâce from the Battle Road games.
Dragon Quest Monster: Battle Road Series[]
Reappearing from Battle Road II Legend onwards, it is the Hero's Coup de Grâce activated by scanning the Solar Flair SP card, throwing the Hypernova sword up into the sky at a giant falling sword that damages all enemies.

Appears as a skill for the Hypernova sword.
Dragon Quest Walk[]
Learned via the Hypernova sword at level 30, it deals 900% slashing damage to one enemy, costing 50 MP to use.
