Rippleport is a location in Dragon Quest II. A port village in northwestern Torland, it is where the party obtain a ship.
Synopsis[]
When the party first arrive in Rippleport, they will find a girl being attcked by two gremlins in the northwestern area of the village. After being rescued, she will inform her grandfather, who will reward the heroes with a ship.
After receiving the ship the game becomes much more non-linear, as the party are able to travel to any location they desire.
Echo Flute[]
The echo flute is also found in Rippleport. There is a sailor in a house on the harbour, that can only be reached by boat. When spoken to, he tells the party of how his ship went down in a storm, and requests they salvage his lost treasure; once found, he will exchange it for the flute.
