Riverton is a town in Dragon Quest IV, located on the southern continent of the map. Situated on the banks of a river, it can only be accessed by boat.
Synopsis[]
Riverton straddles the river that flows from the interior of the southern continent. Since the river is the only means of getting inland, the town essentially serves as the gateway to the continent. The party's ship sails through the middle of the town, with jetties along the riverbanks allowing for docking.
One of the town's inhabitants is researching balloon technology, and will give the party his first prototype if they bring him the gas canister needed to make it airborne.
