Roaring Tirade is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest IX[]

Making its debut, it is the Coup de Grâce for the Martial Artist vocation, allowing the user to make a roar that stuns enemies similar to War Cry and raises their Tension by 1 level.

Dragon Quest X[]

Once again the Coup de Grace for the Martial Artist, it acts mostly the same as in IX, stunning enemies for 15 seconds, however it cannot hit opponents who are far away. It can also be enhanced with the Master Orb system from Version 3 onwards, and when used alongside the Gathering skill introduced in 2.4, the Tension increase by 1 level is enhanced as well. In the Offline version of the game, it is the Hero's Coup de Grace in the Martial Artist vocation and costs 75 Tension to use, received as a reward for completing Quest #152: Life or Death.

Dragon Quest XI[]

Now a Pep Power, it is used when Jade and the Luminary are Pepped Up, and can frighten all enemies for 1 turn, albeit without a tension increase by 1, since tension is not in XI.

Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II[]

Alena learns this skill when one invests 3 skill points into her skill tree, and it costs 10 MP to use in the first game, and 7 MP in the sequel. It stuns enemies within range, similar to X.

Dragon Quest Rivals[]

Appearing as a super rare card exclusive for Martial Artist leaders, it returns all units their respective owners' hands and costs 10 MP to use once again.
