Dragon Quest IV[]
The robe of serenity has a defense bonus of +33, and provides protection if the wearer is asleep or paralyzed. It can be worn by Alena, Borya, Kiryl, Maya, Meena
Dragon Quest V[]
The Robe of Serenity can be found in the Cataract Caves. It provides a defense of +33 and helps reduce any damage suffered while asleep or paralyzed. It can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, and the Hero's Daughter.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
The robe has a defense bonus of +34 and will half the damage of the wearer who is sleeping. It can only be worn by Jessica and sells for 3600g. The item cannot be purchased; it can only be traded for from Dodgy Dave or created in the Alchemy Pot using a Cloak of Evasion and Boxer Shorts.
Dragon Quest IX[]
It can be bought at Slurry Quay for 950 gold and sold for 450 gold. It increases magical might and mending by 5 and stops sleep attacks.
Dragon Quest XI[]
The Robe of Serenity no longer gives protection while suffering from status effects. Instead it has a +5 HP Regen effect in combat at the start of every turn. The stats can be increased depending on the Robe's Quality, starting at Standard Quality up to +3 Quality. The Robe of Serenity is wearable by everyone. At Standard the Robe gives +34 Defence, +13 Magical Might, +13 Magical Mending. At +1 the Robe gives +35 Defence, +13 Magical Might, +13 Magical Mending. At +2 the Robe gives +37 Defence, +14 Magical Might, +14 Magical Mending. At +3 the Robe gives +39 Defence, +15 Magical Might, +15 Magical Mending.
The robe can not be bought, but can be sold starting at 1100 gold up to 1760 gold max at +3 (Selling Price Increases 10% for +1, 20% for +2, and 60% for +3). You get 1 Robe of Serenity by completing the Quest "A Path to Paradise". More robes can be forged after you find the Recipe Book "Crafting Comforting Clothing" from a chest at the Insula Incognita. The Robe of Serenity has a 1.5 Star Difficulty Rating to forge, and requires 1 Faerie fluff, 1 Fresh water, and 1 Purple eye for the materials.
