Rough 'n' Tumble is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest IX[]
Debuting as a Coup de Grâce of the Minstrel vocation, it raises evasion by 50% and the ability to counterattack by 25%, with the effect lasting for 6 turns.
Dragon Quest X[]
Once again a Coup de Grâce for the Minstrel vocation, it once again raises evasion and the ability to counterattack, while increasing Tension to one level, from the latter part of 2.4 onwards. It also affects all allies from the later part of 2.1 onwards.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Appearing as a Pep Power, it is used when the Luminary, Erik and Sylvando are Pepped Up. It now triples evasion and allows a 50% chance to counterattack.
