The Scandalous Swimsuit (formerly revealing swimsuit and tight bikini) is a stupendously shameless two-piece that appeared in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
Typically a trophy item where it appears, the scandalous swimsuit is a red-pink two-piece bikini with a sarong wrap for the waist. Although it provides better coverage than the robust lingerie, it rather oddly provides less defence than the aforementioned intimates.

Dragon Quest III[]
The Scandalous Swimsuit has a measly defence bonus of +1. In the NES version, it can be purchased from Asham for 1,100 gold. In the remake versions of the game, the scandalous swimsuit can only be purchased in Damdara for the exorbitant price of 78,000 gold and can be sold for 58,500 gold. One can also be found in the fifth Pachisi track at Jipang.
The scandalous swimsuit can be equipped only by women and also changes their appearance in the field.

In a strong break from tradition, even men are able to wear the scandalous swimsuit—it is modified into a red fundoshi loincloth and does not include a top piece. It increases defence by +1, requires one piece of finest fur, magic dye, and cord to craft, and can be assembled at a mason’s workstation or sewing station. The recipe is obtained in the third chapter of the game.

The Scandalous swimsuits gives +5 defense. It's recipe is acquired when the build the pool of paradise on the Isle of Awakening. It is made using 3 cotton and 1 cord.

The Scandalous Swimsuit is an S-rank piece of armour that can be acquired as part of the limited Hijinks on the High Seas! Swimwear, Waves, and Pirates!? event by clearing the Merman's Den stages on any difficulty. It has a Defense bonus of only +1, has a 1% chance to charm an enemy after they attack the wearer and has three slots for Alchemy Effects.
