The seed of resilience, formerly known as the seed of defense, DEFseed, or Vitality Seed, is an item in the Dragon Quest series that permanently raises the defence (or in later versions, resilience) of whoever eats it. It can give 3-5 defence points. They can be found in treasure chests, pots, drawers, and sometimes are dropped by monsters. They cannot be bought at any store.
