Dragon Quest VII[]

When the people of Al-Balad began to construct the Likeness in honor of their god, the Spirit of the Land, it drew the attention of nearby monsters, led by Setesh. They ordered the people to change their monolith as a tribute to the Demon King himself instead. When construction finished for the Likeness of the Great Evil, a pair of Blood Rubies were set into the eye sockets of the Demon King's face, placing a curse of darkness on the land of Al-Balad, and also provided Setesh with even greater power. The monsters also demanded a yearly sacrifice of a young maiden from the people, but Queen Fertiti offered herself instead.

Eventually, Hadid and the party make their way to the Likeness after reviving the great Serpent and crossing the Nihil River. Hadid attempts to take on Setesh by himself, but is defeated. The party then arrives at the scene and is able to defeat him and with the help of Queen Fertiti herself, removed the pair of Blood Rubies from the Likeness.
