Shane is a Shaman of the Children of Hargon.

Appearance[]

Shane looks identical to a standard shaman and has no particular defining physical traits separating him from his brethren.

Personality[]

Shane is an outgoing, cool type dude, always finishing his sentences with "man". His desire for building (Similar to Pastor Al) was seemingly legit, that Bonanzo couldn't turn him away. While watching the Builder destroy and build, he was amazed at it, saying it was "magic-alakazam" and wants to become a builder.

Biography[]

Dragon Quest Builders 2[]

Shane first appears with his 2 Legerdemen bodyguards after the Builder and Malroth return from Khrumbul-Dun with some of its prominent residents, expressing a desire for building, despite being missionaries for the Children of Hargon. Shane and his Legerdemen watch as the Builder begins the level 1 blueprint of the pyramid, complementing it like magic, really wanting to become a Builder. However, he and his Legerdemen leave for another island while the Builder, Malroth, and the residents continue. When the Builder, Malroth, and the residents of the Isle of Awakening's construction of the pyramid is halfway done at 59% (With the Rough 'n' tough and Neat 'n' sweet bedrooms tasks requested by Den completed), a heavy rainstorm occurs, with Lulu suspicious of this happening. Malroth offers to take a look, with the Builder and his allies following behind. Shane shows up on a Children of Hargon ship, saying that his desire to be a Builder and not forcing the beliefs of the Children was a sham. He sends an army of Mad moles, Chasmonauts, Prestidigitators, Hoods, and Hoodlums to deal with them, but the monsters are defeated. Shane vows that the Children will not be beaten and will kick the Builder into the can, summoning more Chasmonauts, Prestidigitators, and Hoodlums, but the Builder and Malroth retreat while the Krumbul-Don and Furrowfield residents hold them off. Shane is not seen again until after the Builder returns from Moonbrooke and builds the traps in the valley. He chastised the Builder for breaking out of Skelkatraz and building again while vowing to make sure the Builder won't escape again, sending in an army of Hargonauts, Scarewolves, Spiked hares, Powie yowies, Hawk men, Hocus chimaeras, Gargoyles, Knight errants, Killing machines, and Knight aberrants, before he and his Legerdemen bodyguards join the fray themselves. Despite their best efforts, Shane is defeated cursing his loss and the stinging effect of the Builder's traps, however, he warns that the Children won't be beat, and praises Malroth and Hargon before disappearing.

Abilities[]

When faced in battle, Shane casts Sizzle and Kasizz.

Trivia[]

  • Shane could be considered the evil counterpart of Pastor Al. Both have a desire for building, and both have DQ1 Vis mager monsters for bodyguards/apprentices. (Prestidigitators and Legerdemen) However, while Al's desire for building is genuine until he is killed by the Brainy badboon for insubordination, Shane's desire is a sham, opposing building until his death.
