Shove is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Description[]
Attempts to remove an enemy from the battle, utilizing Whack's resistance table. Because tossed foes do not yield gold or experience, the skill is considered redundant next to Pressure Pointer.

Dragon Quest VI[]
Making its debut, it is learned by Kingsley at level 7, while other characters can learn it by advancing to rank 4 of the Thief vocation. It costs 0 MP to use, and is also used by Ewwnicorns, Trolls, Boss trolls, and Stout trolls in battle. It can also be learned by recruited Boss trolls, though only in the SNES version.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Acting the same as in VI, it is learned by advancing to Rank 3 of the Thief and Rank 5 of the Well Wisher vocations. It costs 0 MP to use once again, and is used by Swinoceroses and Drag racers in battle. In the 3DS remake, it is learned by advancing to rank 2 of the Thief vocation.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Shove can now disable an enemy for 1 turn and is used by Chariot chappies, Splatterhorns, and Flamin' draymen, as well as Swinoceroses once again.
Dragon Quest X[]
Used by the Trolls and Boss trolls for the first time since VI, they can force an enemy out of the battle, along with disabling and damaging. Great trolls, Terror trolls, the Gladiator troll, and General Gladiator Troll can also use this skill in battle.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Acting the same as X, it is used by Stout trolls once again.

Dragon Quest Tact[]
Already learned by Knight errants, Cactiballs, Jargons, Masqueraiders, Kon the Knight, Leery lantern, and Captain Levanter when they are recruited, and by Killerpillars and Mottle she-slimes at level 16, it acts the same as in Wars and costs 7 MP to use. A scroll of this ability can be obtained by clearing Stage 7 of Leery lout's Battle Road.
