Solar Flair is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, Solar Flair can be used by any character that has the 'Paladin's Primer' item in their inventory after completing Quest #108. Base damage is 180~210, and will increase once the user's magical mending surpasses 200. It will reach its zenith after the value hits 850, blasting enemies for 375~405. Because it uses magical mending as its power source, the skill is considerably more potent when used by a Priest or Sage.
Dragon Quest X[]
Learned when 130 skill points are invested into a Paladin's Virtue skill tree, it deals 320 to 400 light attribute damage and costs 6 MP to use, with a CT of 90 seconds. Unlike in IX, it uses strength as its power source, not magical mending. It is also used by Jilldrana in battle, and is also learned by investing 15 skill points into Prince Ragus's Royalty skill tree in the Offline Version of the game.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Solar Flair now functions as a Pep Power, being activated when both the Luminary and Rab are Pepped Up while having Pearly Gates and Quadraslash in their repertoire. It deals 285~315 light damage to all enemies with a high range of 625~655, and has a chance to increase lightning-elemental damage by 25% for 4~6 turns. If an enemy is undead, then damage is increased by 50%.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]
Reappearing from Battle Road Legend II onwards, it is the SP skill for the DQIX Hero, dealing more damage the less HP the player's team has.

Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Learned by Cesar after raising his Greatsword Profiencey to 12, it damages all enemies surrounding him. It costs 28 MP to use and is also used by Strong Fractos during his boss fight.
Dragon Quest Walk[]
Learned at level 30 when wielding the Metal king gooreatsword, it deals 530% Crack/Zam slash damage to all enemies and +80 damage to Metal Slime monsters, costing 58 MP to use.
