Dragon Quest IV[]
The somatic staff has an attack bonus of +60, but drains the wielder's MP while attacking. It can only be wielded by Borya, Kiryl, Maya, and Meena.
Dragon Quest V[]
The Adventure of Dai[]
Inspired by the somatic staff, the legendary craftsman Lon Beruk created Vearn's signature Staff of Edacity but the attack is scaled on the user's magic power instead of a fixed attack bonus.
Emblem of Roto[]
The priest of the party, Elder Tarkin, possess a Somatic Staff as part of his equipment, which he often uses as a melee weapon when not casting his spells. It was best seen during his battle against Gunog's army of monsters. The staff was destroyed when Tarkin performed Kamikazee in an attempt to take down the Beast King.
