Spinning Slice is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances

Dragon Quest X

Making its main series debut, it used by A3G15es, Type G0es, the Chopping machine, the Urubea genie soldier, the Zade genie, and the Breeding Beast, the latter 2 of which cause knockback and damage, while the last one causes not just damage, but instant death.

Dragon Quest XI

Acts the same as in X, but only A3G15es and Type G0es can use it.

Dragon Quest Builders 2

When the Builder reaches Level 4, Malroth in his amesnaic human forme will teach it to him. Moonbrooke guards will learn it when the kingdom reaches a certain rebuilding level.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below and Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End

Appearing as a combo of Yangus, it is activated by pressing □ or △ ・ □ or △ ・ □ (Y or X /Y or X/Y in the Nintendo Switch port), damaging enemies in its way. In the sequel, it is also used when players transform into a Hacksaurus via its Monster Medal, making it useful for crowd control in tight situations. In addition, a stronger version of this skill, Über Spinning Slice, can be used when players activate the Axesaurus Monster Medal.
