No grotto required?
According to Dragon Quest IX's bestiary, these metal monarchs can apparently be found in the Tower of Nod. I've been going there frequently, however, and have yet to find any (although the deceptively enchanced swinoceroses and splatterhorns are good experience all the same). Has anyone found them? Are they on a particular floor? Or is there more to the tower we have yet to see until the special quest supposedly involving it is made available? --PantheonSasuke 21:57, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
I didn't see any of them when I was in the tower. Maybe they'll only appear if you're level is high enough (i think i was about lvl. 58 or so at the time)? --Zakoholic 22:59, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Odd that you say, because my lead character IS at 58 (also revocated once in another vocation). I'm not sure if level is involved, though, since it never occurred to me as something that determined the appearance of monsters. I've done the toppish floor enough to know that if MKSs do appear there (which I'm not saying they do, cuz I have yet to see any) then they're stupid rare, and that small stretch of the tower that goes outside just seems to have the same monsters you find inside on the same level (stone guardians, drakulards, killing machines, gigantes, etc). I'm starting to hope that there might be some secret part to the tower, kinda like how the Plumbed Depths has that room with ghouls in it, but I'd have to do some searchin' before being sure about that. --PantheonSasuke 19:39, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
