Terrorflyers are monsters who appear in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
Terrorflyers are reminiscent of pterosaurs, having long crests and the absence of forelimbs, but are made more dragon-like through their bulkier bodies and large jaws. In the original, NES release of Dragon Quest IV, Terrorflyers (then known as Tyranobats) were gray while the stronger Wyverns (then Ryverns) were yellow in color. In subsequent re-releases however, for some reason the color schemes were swapped between the two. As such Terrorflyers are now a yellowish orange color (except in Of the Stars were they are gray).
